The short version

Nothing is published without your written consent. Not on this site, not on social media, not in a printed portfolio, not in a submission to a magazine, and not in a private gallery shown to a prospective client.

Why it is written this way round

Most photography contracts ask you to opt out of publication, and they are written that way because photographs of real weddings are how photographers get the next commission. That is an honest commercial interest and it is not yours. So the default here is reversed: silence means no.

If you do consent

Consent can be given for everything, or for a set of frames you choose, or for one channel and not another. It can be withdrawn later, and we will remove what can be removed — which is everything we control, and not a magazine already printed.

Your licence

You may print, share, reproduce and display your photographs anywhere, for any personal purpose, for as long as you like, anywhere in the world. There is no expiry and no charge to exercise it. What the licence does not cover is selling them, or a third party using them commercially, and both of those are usually available for the asking.

Your guests

Your guests hold rights in their own likenesses. If someone at your wedding asks not to be photographed, we will not photograph them, and we would rather be told on the day than afterwards.

Credit

Where photographs are published with your consent, we ask to be credited. Where they are not published, there is nothing to credit and no record of the commission anywhere public.
