A wedding is a day with no second take. Everything about the way we work is arranged around that single fact — the hours spent walking the rooms before anyone arrives, the second photographer who is briefed rather than merely booked, the schedule read backwards from sunset rather than forwards from the invitation.
Two photographers cover a full wedding. Not because two cameras make twice the photographs, but because the vow and the face receiving it happen in the same second and in opposite directions. One of us is always on the reaction.
We arrive before the flowers and leave after the band. In between we are largely invisible: available light wherever the room allows it, no posed group beyond the family list agreed in advance, and never a request to do the first kiss again for the camera.

Wedding — questions
How many photographs do we receive?
Between six and nine hundred edited frames for a full day. We do not publish a minimum, because a number is a target and a target changes what gets photographed. Everything that is worth keeping is delivered; nothing is withheld to sell back later.
Do you photograph the family groups?
Yes, from a list agreed with you before the day, usually eight to twelve arrangements. Thirty minutes, one place, named in advance so nobody is hunted through a marquee. Beyond that list we do not interrupt the day.
What happens if a photographer is ill?
The commission is covered by a named second photographer who has already walked the venue and read the schedule, and by a standing arrangement with photographers we have worked alongside. You are told immediately and you meet whoever replaces us.
Tell us the date and the place.
We reply to every enquiry personally, usually within two business days. We take a limited number of commissions each year, and we would rather say so now than manage a waiting list.
