These terms

These are the terms on which TODO_LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME provides photography. They are summarised here; the commission agreement you sign is the document that governs the work, and where the two differ, that one wins.

Booking

A date is held when the agreement is signed and the booking fee is paid. The booking fee is part of the total, not additional to it, and it is non-refundable because holding a Saturday in September means declining every other enquiry for it.

If we cannot be there

If illness or an emergency prevents us attending, you are told immediately and we arrange a photographer of equivalent standing, at our cost, whom you are introduced to. If no acceptable replacement can be found, everything paid is returned in full.

If you postpone

A postponement to a date we are free for carries the booking across at no charge. A postponement to a date we are not free for is treated as a cancellation, and we will do what we can to help you find someone.

Delivery

A preview set within seven days and the complete edited set within eight weeks of the wedding. Selection and editing are ours: you receive the photographs we consider finished work, in a single consistent grade, and we do not supply unedited originals.

Copyright

Copyright in the photographs stays with the photographer, which is the ordinary position in law. You receive a licence to use them for any personal purpose, worldwide, for ever, including printing them at any size. Commercial use by you or by a third party is a separate conversation and is usually granted.

Behaviour

We will leave a wedding, without a refund, if anyone at it is abusive or threatening towards either photographer. This has not happened. The clause exists so that if it does, nobody has to argue about it.
