Wedding photography in Split & Hvar
We photograph weddings and elopements in Split, on Hvar and on the Pakleni islands — among the Roman stones of Diocletian’s Palace, along the Split Riva and on Marjan hill, and in Hvar town and the quiet coves beyond it.
The most useful planning truth is that an island wedding runs on the ferry and catamaran timetable: guests, suppliers and we all cross on it, so the timetable sets the day before anyone else does.
Split is a city built inside a Roman emperor’s palace. The walls, cellars and colonnades of Diocletian’s retirement home are still there, with houses, cafés and churches grown into them over seventeen centuries. The Peristyle at its heart is one of the finest open spaces in the Mediterranean to photograph, and one of the busiest.
Hvar is the island most couples mean when they say Dalmatia. Hvar town gathers around a harbour and a wide stone square below a hilltop fortress, the Pakleni islands lie just offshore, and the interior is dry-stone walls, olive groves and — in early summer — lavender. The island sits in the open Adriatic, and in summer the afternoon breeze from the north-west is part of the rhythm of the day.
The two work together. Many couples fly into Split, hold a welcome evening in the city and marry on the island, or the other way round. The sea between them is the thing to plan around: the crossing is part of the day, the timetable is fixed, and a wedding built around it runs calmly while one that ignores it does not.

When it helps, we can arrive early to see the venue at that hour; that is agreed per inquiry.

- Yes — the palace is a living part of the city, and the lanes and the Peristyle are public spaces. They are also crowded from mid-morning, so we photograph there at sunrise. Some interior spaces and cellars are managed separately and have their own terms for professional photography, which we check before the day.

Do you travel outside Split & Hvar?
Yes. We photograph weddings across Croatia, the rest of Europe and the United States. Travel is quoted separately, itemised and at cost, so you can see exactly what it adds.
How many photographs will we receive?
It depends on the day rather than the clock: a full day usually comes to several hundred edited photographs, an elopement fewer. We do not set a minimum, because a number becomes a target — everything worth keeping is delivered.
When will we receive our gallery?
A preview within seven days, then the complete edited gallery within eight weeks for a wedding and four weeks for an elopement, with high-resolution downloads and personal printing rights.
Do you require a deposit to book?
Yes. A short agreement and a booking deposit reserve your date, and the deposit is part of the total, not added to it. The balance is due before the wedding.
What happens if the weather changes?
We plan a covered alternative for the portraits with you before the day and adapt the timing on the day itself. Soft rain and cloud can make beautiful photographs; nobody is sent out into a storm.
