No blog post, no portfolio entry, no social post, no submission to a publication. Your wedding is private by default and stays private unless you write to say otherwise. A non-disclosure agreement is signed on request and at no cost.

Wedding photography in Amalfi Coast
We photograph weddings and elopements along the Amalfi Coast — clifftop terraces in Ravello, beaches and stairs in Positano, the cathedral steps in Amalfi, and the quieter villages of Praiano and Atrani.
Everything here costs more time than it looks like it should. The coast road is one lane with hairpins and buses on it, and the difference between a day that works and a day spent in a minibus is how honestly that is built into the schedule.
The Amalfi Coast is vertical. Ravello sits a thousand feet above the water on a ridge, Positano tumbles down a ravine in stairs, and almost every venue between them is a terrace built out from a cliff with nothing beyond the balustrade but sea and sky. Photographically it is extraordinary: an open backdrop, no horizon clutter, and light coming off the water from below as well as from the sun above.
It is also the most logistically demanding place on this list. The coast road is a single narrow lane with hairpins and buses, it takes far longer than the distance suggests, and a hundred guests moving from a church in one town to a villa in another is an operation. Stairs are everywhere. Nothing is close to anything.
None of which is a reason not to be married here. It is a reason to build the day around fewer moves rather than more, and to be honest with your guests about the shoes. The photographs that come back are not comparable to anywhere else.

The Terrace of Infinity is a balustrade with a long drop and nothing beyond it. No horizon clutter of any kind, which makes it one of the cleanest portrait backgrounds on the coast.
Villa Rufolo
Thirteenth-century villa, Ravello
Moorish cloisters and a garden terrace over the gulf. The cloister is deep shade at midday and the terrace is full sun, so the two halves of the day photograph completely differently.
Villa Eva
Garden estate, Ravello
Space to seat a large guest list outdoors, which the older Ravello villas do not have. Lower down the ridge, so it keeps its light a little longer.
Le Sirenuse
Hotel terraces, Positano
Faces the town across the ravine rather than the open sea, so the backdrop is the coloured houses everyone pictures. Reached by stairs, in every direction.
Duomo di Amalfi
Cathedral and steps, Amalfi
A long, steep flight of steps down into a public square. The photographs there are wonderful and they are made among strangers, which is worth knowing before the day rather than on it.
Monastero Santa Rosa
Former seventeenth-century monastery, Conca dei Marini
Terraced gardens and old stone on the cliff, with the sea far below. Small in scale, which suits a short guest list, and cool stone through the hottest part of the afternoon, which on this coast in August is not a small thing.
When to marry in Amalfi Coast, and at what hour
May to June
Lemon blossom, green hillsides and the clearest air of the year. Warm rather than hot, and less crowded than what follows.
July to August
Peak. Hot, very busy, hazy over the water, and a coast road that is genuinely difficult at the wrong hour.
September to early October
The best combination on the coast: warm sea, softening light, thinning crowds, and long amber evenings against the cliffs.

A second photographer, a welcome dinner or a morning-after session can be added, and every wedding is quoted individually, with exact pricing on request.
The planning here is specific. We time the coast road for the hour your guests will drive it, map the stairs between your ceremony and your dinner in the order you will walk them, and work out whether the boat is faster than the car on your particular Saturday — which between Positano and Amalfi it usually is. When it helps, we can arrive early to walk the route at ceremony hour; that is agreed per inquiry. Then we tell your planner what the day can actually contain.

Destination Wedding in Amalfi Coast
Everything on this coast costs more time than it looks like it should, and a destination wedding here succeeds or fails on how honestly that is built into the day. The SS163 is one lane each way with hairpins and buses on it; a hundred guests moving from a church in Amalfi to a villa in Ravello is a slow convoy in good conditions and considerably slower in August. We plan for fewer moves rather than more, and where a boat is faster than the road — which between Positano and Amalfi it usually is — we plan for the boat.
The compensation is a backdrop with no horizon clutter anywhere in it. A Ravello terrace sits high above open sea, which means every portrait made there has nothing behind it but water and sky, and the light comes up off the Tyrrhenian as well as down from the sun. It is one of the cleanest wedding backdrops in Europe, and the only thing standing between you and it is a schedule that respects the road.

- Ravello for the ceremony and the terraces — it is high, the views are enormous and the venues have room. Positano for the colour and the water, and for a guest list that can manage the stairs. Couples who want both should accept that one transfer between them will eat an hour of the day.
- Can the whole day happen in one place?
- It can, and on this coast we would usually advise it. Every move costs more time than anywhere else we work, and an hour in a minibus on the SS163 is an hour not spent photographing you.
- How bad are the stairs, really?
- At several venues, a long flight between the arrival point and the terrace. It is manageable and it is worth knowing in advance — both for the shoes and for the order we plan the portrait route in, which is downhill wherever the site allows.
- When is the best month?
- The second half of September. Warm sea, thinning crowds, long amber evenings against the cliffs and a coast road you can actually move on. May and early June are the other answer, greener and with the clearest air of the year.
- Do you photograph from a boat?
- Where the day already involves one, yes, and the coast from the water is a view your guests will not have. It is booked and timed in advance; a boat decided on at six in the evening is a boat that arrives after the light has gone.

How far in advance should we book?

Do you photograph intimate weddings and elopements?
Yes — often. An elopement or a wedding of a dozen guests gets the same care as a large one, with coverage from €850 for one to two hours and help choosing the places and the hour.
Can you photograph weddings at our venue?
Almost certainly. We work at venues across Amalfi Coast and beyond, and if we have not photographed yours we plan it from the light, the layout and the timeline before the day. Tell us the venue when you check your date.
Do you travel outside Amalfi Coast?
Yes. We photograph weddings across Italy, the rest of Europe and the United States. Travel is quoted separately, itemised and at cost, so you can see exactly what it adds.
How many photographs will we receive?
It depends on the day rather than the clock: a full day usually comes to several hundred edited photographs, an elopement fewer. We do not set a minimum, because a number becomes a target — everything worth keeping is delivered.
When will we receive our gallery?
A preview within seven days, then the complete edited gallery within eight weeks for a wedding and four weeks for an elopement, with high-resolution downloads and personal printing rights.
Do you require a deposit to book?
Yes. A short agreement and a booking deposit reserve your date, and the deposit is part of the total, not added to it. The balance is due before the wedding.
What happens if the weather changes?
We plan a covered alternative for the portraits with you before the day and adapt the timing on the day itself. Soft rain and cloud can make beautiful photographs; nobody is sent out into a storm.
