Nothing is published without your consent
No blog post, no portfolio entry, no social post, no submission to a publication. Your wedding is private by default and stays private unless you write to say otherwise. A non-disclosure agreement is signed on request and at no cost.

The photographer on your wedding is the one you spoke to, and if a second is added you are told who they are in advance. Both have read the timeline and know the venue. Nobody learns your names that morning.

Wedding photography in Venice
We photograph weddings and elopements in Venice — in San Marco, Dorsoduro, Cannaregio, on the Giudecca and out on Burano, from palazzi on the Grand Canal to the city itself at dawn.
Venice is the only place we work where the way you travel between two points is the photograph. There are no cars. The transfer that is dead time everywhere else is, here, the part you will want framed.
Venice is the only wedding destination in the world where the transport is the picture. There are no cars. You move by boat or on foot, which means the transfer between the ceremony and the reception — everywhere else the dead time of the day — is here the part you will want framed.
The light is unlike anywhere else because half of it comes off the water. Reflected light moves on the ceilings of the palazzi, it bounces up under the chin, and at the two ends of the day the whole city goes a colour that is genuinely difficult to photograph and extraordinary when it works. Early morning is when Venice belongs to the people who live in it, and a sunrise portrait session in an empty San Marco is one of the quietest, most beautiful hours the city has.
The constraints are real. The city is crowded from mid-morning to early evening, a great deal of it is public space shared with a very large number of strangers, and everything — people, flowers, dresses, equipment — arrives by boat and then on foot over bridges with steps.

An elopement — two of you, two witnesses, a celebrant and a morning — starts at €650 for two hours with one photographer, or €1,200 for up to five hours if you want the whole morning. A wedding with guests is usually our Destination Wedding coverage, from €2,800, with the route planned around the hour. Exact pricing comes in reply to your inquiry.
Both are planned around the same fact, which is the hour. We build the morning backwards from first light, choose the bridges with the dress in mind rather than the map, and book the launch before the day rather than hoping for one at six in the evening. A wooden launch is better than a gondola for photographs: it is faster, it sits lower, and it lets us shoot back at you with the palazzi behind.
Travel and accommodation are quoted separately, at cost. Preview within seven days, the complete set within four weeks for an elopement and eight for a wedding, in a private online gallery with full-resolution downloads and a personal print release. Nothing published without your written consent — and for a private ceremony here that is the default rather than an option.

An elopement in Venice is a walk, and the walk is the photograph. There are no cars, so the two of you move on foot and by boat between a ceremony and a lunch, and the part of the day that is dead time everywhere else — the transfer — is here the part worth framing. - Gondola or launch?
- A launch, for photographs. It is faster, it sits lower in the water and it lets us shoot back at you with the buildings behind. A gondola is lovely to be in and difficult to photograph from. Both are booked in advance and timed to the light.
- What about the bridges and the dress?
- Every bridge has steps, and a long train plus six of them is a decision rather than an accident. We plan the route with that in mind, and where it matters we plan it in one direction.
- Can you photograph inside the churches?
- It depends entirely on the institution, and several prohibit photography during the ceremony outright. We establish the specific rules with your specific church in advance rather than assuming the general ones.
- Which month?
- September to November. Autumn mist on the lagoon at dawn, low gold light on the stone, and the city beginning to empty. Acqua alta is a real possibility from late autumn and worth a contingency for a November date.

How far in advance should we book?
Nine to fifteen months ahead is usual for a weekend between May and October, and the most popular dates go first. Weekdays and elopements can often be arranged with less notice, so a closer date is always worth asking about.
Do you photograph intimate weddings and elopements?
Yes — often. An elopement or a wedding of a dozen guests gets the same care as a large one, with coverage from €850 for one to two hours and help choosing the places and the hour.
Can you photograph weddings at our venue?
Almost certainly. We work at venues across Venice and beyond, and if we have not photographed yours we plan it from the light, the layout and the timeline before the day. Tell us the venue when you check your date.
Do you travel outside Venice?
Yes. We photograph weddings across Italy, the rest of Europe and the United States. Travel is quoted separately, itemised and at cost, so you can see exactly what it adds.
How many photographs will we receive?
It depends on the day rather than the clock: a full day usually comes to several hundred edited photographs, an elopement fewer. We do not set a minimum, because a number becomes a target — everything worth keeping is delivered.
When will we receive our gallery?
A preview within seven days, then the complete edited gallery within eight weeks for a wedding and four weeks for an elopement, with high-resolution downloads and personal printing rights.
Do you require a deposit to book?
Yes. A short agreement and a booking deposit reserve your date, and the deposit is part of the total, not added to it. The balance is due before the wedding.
What happens if the weather changes?
We plan a covered alternative for the portraits with you before the day and adapt the timing on the day itself. Soft rain and cloud can make beautiful photographs; nobody is sent out into a storm.
