Nothing is published without your consent
No blog post, no portfolio entry, no social post, no submission to a publication. Your wedding is private by default and stays private unless you write to say otherwise. A non-disclosure agreement is signed on request and at no cost.
You meet your photographer before the day
The photographer on your wedding is the one you spoke to, and if a second is added you are told who they are in advance. Both have read the timeline and know the venue. Nobody learns your names that morning.

A preview set within seven days of the wedding, and the complete edited set within eight weeks — four for an elopement. Those are commitments rather than estimates. If we are ever going to miss one, you hear it from us before the date passes.

Wedding photography in Algarve
We photograph weddings and elopements across the Algarve — the cliffs and coves around Lagos and Carvoeiro, the resorts near Albufeira and Quinta do Lago, and the lagoon and old town at Tavira.
The single most useful planning truth here is that the coast faces south, so the evening sun sets along the shoreline rather than into the sea in front of you, and the cliffs throw long shadows onto the beaches earlier than the published sunset suggests.
The western Algarve is limestone: ochre cliffs, arches and sea stacks, and small coves reached by steps cut into the rock. The colour of the stone is most of the photograph here. In the last part of the day it turns warm gold against a blue-green sea, and in the middle of the day it reflects so much light that faces need shade to look like themselves.
Further east, past Faro, the coast changes completely. The Ria Formosa is a lagoon of channels, salt pans and barrier islands, flat and quiet, with a softer, wider kind of light. Tavira, with its river and old bridge, is the calmest town on the coast and the one that feels least like a resort.
Most Algarve weddings happen at resorts and quintas with space for guests to stay, and the day is usually self-contained. That makes the photography simpler than on most coasts. The decisions that matter are where on the cliff the ceremony faces, and whether the portraits happen on the property or on a beach nearby at the right hour.

Sea stacks, arches and grottoes at the headland south of Lagos, with paths and a stair down to the water. Best in the early morning or the late evening; by day it is full of visitors and the rock is very bright.

Praia da Marinha
A cove beneath honey-coloured cliffs with a double arch at one end and a clifftop path above. The path gives height and a clean sea background; the beach is reached by steps and is at its best when the sun is low.

Most Algarve couples book our Destination Wedding coverage, from €2,950: the full day with one photographer, and a welcome dinner or a morning-after session on the beach available as additions. The exact price is on request, and we send it in reply to your inquiry.
Travel and timing are planned around your wedding. On this coast the ceremony hour is mostly about the cliff shadows and the direction of the sun: which way the ceremony faces, when the beach below falls into shade, and whether the best evening light is on the property or at a cove nearby. When it helps, we can arrive early to see the venue at that hour; that is agreed per inquiry.
Travel and accommodation are quoted separately and at cost, itemised before anything is booked. You receive a preview within seven days and the complete edited set within eight weeks, in a private gallery with full-resolution downloads and a personal print release.

- Yes. Our elopement coverage starts from €850 for two hours, with help planning the location and timing and with any permits needed; we confirm the exact price when you tell us your date. The cliffs at Ponta da Piedade at sunrise or the western cape at sunset are both well suited to two hours and two people.
- Western or eastern Algarve?
- The west, from Lagos to Carvoeiro, for cliffs, arches and coves. The east, around Tavira and the Ria Formosa, for lagoon light, sandbar islands and a calmer, more traditional feel. They photograph differently, and the choice shapes the portraits more than the venue does.
- Does the wind affect the photographs?
- Less than on Portugal’s west coast, but clifftops are rarely still. A veil that moves is part of the photograph; a ceremony arch that moves is a problem. We look at how exposed your ceremony spot is while planning, and suggest where to stand.

Wedding photography in the Algarve: your questions
How much does wedding photography in Algarve cost?
Elopements start from €850 for one to two hours, a Half Day from €1,450 and a Full Day from €2,250. The final price depends on your date, location and coverage, and any travel is itemised at cost — we send an exact quote when we reply.
How far in advance should we book?
Nine to fifteen months ahead is usual for a weekend between May and October, and the most popular dates go first. Weekdays and elopements can often be arranged with less notice, so a closer date is always worth asking about.
Do you photograph intimate weddings and elopements?
Yes — often. An elopement or a wedding of a dozen guests gets the same care as a large one, with coverage from €850 for one to two hours and help choosing the places and the hour.
Can you photograph weddings at our venue?
Almost certainly. We work at venues across Algarve and beyond, and if we have not photographed yours we plan it from the light, the layout and the timeline before the day. Tell us the venue when you check your date.
Do you travel outside Algarve?
Yes. We photograph weddings across Portugal, the rest of Europe and the United States. Travel is quoted separately, itemised and at cost, so you can see exactly what it adds.
How many photographs will we receive?
It depends on the day rather than the clock: a full day usually comes to several hundred edited photographs, an elopement fewer. We do not set a minimum, because a number becomes a target — everything worth keeping is delivered.
When will we receive our gallery?
A preview within seven days, then the complete edited gallery within eight weeks for a wedding and four weeks for an elopement, with high-resolution downloads and personal printing rights.
Do you require a deposit to book?
Yes. A short agreement and a booking deposit reserve your date, and the deposit is part of the total, not added to it. The balance is due before the wedding.
What happens if the weather changes?
We plan a covered alternative for the portraits with you before the day and adapt the timing on the day itself. Soft rain and cloud can make beautiful photographs; nobody is sent out into a storm.
